I'm a fan of stoicism. Although I don't know a lot about it, self discipline and 'calmness' are one of the key components of stoicism. It also reminds me of the quote

"Id rather be a warrior in a garden than a gardener at a battlefield "

There's actually a lot of overlap between the two philosophies. Let's dive in!

Stoicism and Existentialism both delve into human existence and philosophy of life. Stoicism, ancient Greek philosophy, focuses on virtue, resilience, and living in accordance with nature. Existentialism, modern movement, emphasizes individual freedom, choice, and creating meaning in a seemingly absurd world. Both highlight personal responsibility. However, Stoicism leans towards acceptance of fate, while Existentialism leans towards creating one's own purpose. Stoicism seeks tranquility through self-discipline, while Existentialism explores the depths of human existence. In essence, Stoicism offers guidance for adapting to life's challenges, while Existentialism encourages active engagement in shaping one's own path.

And there you have it!

Peace!
